Project of custom robot for maintenance of HVAC system ducts from year approximately 2007. The name is kind of pun, because “Krtek” means “mole” in czech language. Controlled via cyber-briefcase and 30 meters of cable. Teleoperation was already digital, built on good old Intel 8051 MCU (firmware was written old-fashioned, in assembler). Cameras and image transmission, however, still remains analog. The robot had a pair of motors and classical differential steering.
The project has undergone various minor improvements over the time and the robot is most likely inspecting some pipelines until today.
